The Tsunami brings the best of both worlds, speed and stability, into a proven race and touring shape. Built with E11 Carbon/Bamboo Sandwich construction, the board lives up to BOGA's performance, durability and weight goals.   Great board and priced reasonable but just as fast as high end priced boardsThick rails and a unique bottom give the board added stability. At only 28" wide the board feels more like 29.5" board but has the glide and speed benefits of a narrower race shape while remaining stable when touring. A proven race winner in both local and elite races across the world. Now with tie downs for a PFD or for touring storage.

SIC X 14
Flat-water Race and FITNESS: A scaled up version of the X-12, this missile provides unrivaled flat-water speed. Its sharp displacement bow is like a knife through flat water and chop. The quick transition to flat provides stability and keeps the board in glide mode between strokes. Sharp rails at the tail shear water for unlimited speed on the open range.

Boardworks Morrelli & Melvin
The next generation in SUP race board design. The hull shape is optimized for speed. Featuring a unique bow design that penetrates through waves allowing the board to drive and accelerate without pitching the bow and losing forward energy. The peaked deck design functions to shed water for smooth recovery. The tail is designed to minimize wetted surface area and drag, release water cleanly and to perform well while riding waves. Available in sizes 12'6 and 14'0.

Werner Grand prix review

Hello Everyone;
Today I am going to give you a basic review of the Werner Grand Prix race paddle.   I have experimented with quite a few brands, styles and shapes and now I will compare my experience with the Grand Prix.
First feel you notice that it is amazingly light but still has a very stiff, strong shaft.  The circumference of the shaft is just a hair bigger than a quick blade elite paddle but seems to be the ideal size.  The one piece is just under 15oz for the M1000 (based on 78") which feels incredible on those long paddles and it comes in 3 different sizes.
-S1000 (Small) Surface area 92 sq in (18.75 in x 7.25)
-M1000 (Medium) Surface area 98 sq in. (19 in x 7.75)
-F1000 (Full) Surface area 105 sq in (19.25 in x 8.25)
I think the medium (m1000) is perfect for most male paddlers and some stronger female paddlers.  Jump to the Full for a bigger, stronger paddler and it still wont burn you out like some of the other larger face paddles since it carries the surface area further up rather than just at the end.   Our buddy at werner explains that "this shape allows the paddler to manage how much surface area the want more easily, what we call incremental power".  I felt that even though the blade size was a little smaller than I am use to it still moved plenty of water and allowed me to keep better form.  When you have a big full tear drop blade it can be harder on the catch and force the paddler to not fully commit the paddle or not reach as far forward.   The angle (12 degrees) is also more than what I am use to but in the long run it naturally provided a further entry point and allowed me to put more weight onto the blade.

The bent shaft is also nice if you have a shoulder injury or need that extra range of motion to get the blade further forward.  Go down a couple inches in size than your regular straight paddle when sizing.  Just like most paddles for racing (straight shaft)  I would recommend cutting the paddle at 10-11 in over your height or whatever you are comfortable with.  This paddle is definately one of the best paddles on the market for racing.  Contact Walk on Water if you would like to demo a grand prix.  Click Website Click to email

Features of the Grand prix

  • Rectangular blade shape allows for the most efficient forward stroke
  • Performance Core layup but with extra weight savings over the Fuse and Nitro paddles
  • Thin ABS reinforce blade edge knifes cleanly in and out of the water
  • Optimized blade to shaft offset at 12 degrees, allows for more reach and power at the beginning of the stroke and less lift at the exit
  • Carbon Palm-style grip for a good fit and controlled strokes
  • Recommended for racing. We do not recommend this paddle for surfing or whitewater.
